Addison Circle Park

Addison Circle Park is both a park and a site for performance venues and exhibits. Here’s the skinny:
Clean & green. The park is very well kept. You would be hard pressed to find any trash blowing around. For the most part, visitors clean up after their dog. I’ve had a near fatal step one time or another, but it’s very rare. There are adequate trash cans and doggy stations. The grounds are lush with a variety of flowers and trees.
Fido Friendly. There are no fenced-in dog areas or dog parks on site, but man’s best friend can definitely get a good exercise by running along the winding trails. Don’t worry about a parched pooch either. There’s even Fido-sized drinking fountains. Too cute!
Relax and enjoy. There are plenty of trees and benches here so you can definitely have that “me time”. Sit in the shade and read a book or just close your eyes, hear the water and have a Zen-like moment.
Family fun. Spacious and level, this is an excellent park to have a picnic with the family, ride a bike or just enjoy one another. There aren’t any courts, but the winding trails are great for runners. Unfortunately there is no playground or sandbox for the kiddos, but you can always toss a ball around. If you’re feeling spontaneous, you and the kids can run and play in the interactive fountains! Now that, to me, makes up for a swing set any day.
Addison Circle Park may not be large, but it’s plenty of park and there’s something to be said about quality over quantity. Check it out!

Thanks for the great suggestion! My family went there on a Sunday and the area was just as you described, beautiful, clean, green and welcoming. We stayed there for about 2 hours and sat on benches shaded by trees and enjoyed watching our 4-year old play and run in the fountain the entire time. It was so pleasant and relaxing. We saw a mother and son practicing catch with a baseball and glove, families biking and runners that all came over to cool off in the water. It was such a great combination of people and pooches. I was concerned when you mentioned there was a dog park close by, but every owner and dog were well behaved and on leashes. I can’t say enough about this great little hidden gem in Addison , so again, THANK YOU!
