North Addison Park

North Addison Park

This small, hidden park isn’t easy to find but it’s quite the gem.  It’s located between apartments, Trinity Christian Academy and surrounded by a gate.   Though visible from Westgrove Drive, it’s easily accessible through a parking lot directly north of Trinity Christian Academy.

Green and Serene.  The grounds are well kept and there’s a nice variety of flowers and trees.  There are water fountains, picnic tables, park benches and a .5 mile one-way trail around the park.  This park is quiet and has a secluded feel to it.  It’s perfect for anyone who wants to exercise in peace.

Food For Thought.  Something very unique about this park is its nod to nutrition and health.  There are stone food pyramids, food trivia along some of the trail and even body/mind quotes.   I learned a few quotes by philosophers that I plan on using around my friends in an attempt to sound like a Jeopardy! contestant.

I love this park.  The size and design make it perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors without having to deal with a crowd.  It may not be easy to find but it is well worth the search.  Make plans to visit!
