Houlihan’s is a nationwide chain and lies just outside of Addison’s border.  Here are a few cool things about it:       

Great atmosphere, bar, and decor.   This place is kind of sexy for a date yet cool to hang out with friends.  If you’re not having dinner, you should at least check out the lounge/bar area.  They have drink specials during the week like 1/2 off house cocktails and draft beer Monday – Friday.        

Lots of variety here like burgers, salads, and steak.  The food is good and the desserts are fantastic.  You must try the Italian-Style Donut Flight (mini donuts with dark chocolate Kahlua and white chocolate Bailey’s dipping sauces).  I didn’t think donuts could get any better, but add some liquor-infused dipping sauces and you’ve reached Nirvana     

Prices are a little high, but you don’t have to spend a lot to have a great time at Houlihan’s.  Here are some ways to save and get more bang for your buck:       

Foursquare- They offer freebies to Foursquare peeps who check in.  The night I checked in I got a free order of Parmesan Frites.       

Houlihan’s email club – Receive a free appetizer for just signing up, a free entree on your b-day, and other cool stuff.       

Smaller Plates Menu – Smaller portion, smaller price.       

Thursdays – They offer a complementary 5 – 6 oz. lobster tail or Jumbo shrimp (6) with every steak entree after 4pm.       

Houlihan’s draws a mixed crowd and is lively at night!  Check them out if you’re in the area.
