Texadelphia serves cheesesteaks with a Texas twist.  They started in Austin and just recently opened a location in Addison.  Here’s the skinny on the fatty.

Food.  I tried the Founder’s Favorite and built my own which consisted of beef, Mozzarella, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and cherry peppers with a side of their mustard blend.  Both sandwiches were very good.  Copious amounts of tender beef coexisting (albeit briefly) with grilled onions, peppers, and cheese inside a soft Italian roll – delicious!  Their mustard blend is great.  Like, hand-me-a-straw great.  If I could buy a bottle, I would.  The fries were kind of boring, but the cheesesteaks make up for it.

Atmosphere.  Casual.

Service.  Friendly and attentive.

The sandwiches come as regular (pictured) or large and can be ordered with chicken.  There are several different kinds of cheesesteaks to choose from.  Additionally they serve salads, deli sandwiches, burgers, and alcohol.  Currently, they are offering a coupon for $5 to “build your own” cheesesteak after 5pm via Addison Perks.

Until I make my way up to Philly and get an authentic cheesesteak, I am perfectly content getting mine at Texadelphia.  Give them a try!
